This Privacy Policy explains how LearnFlow AI - Interactive Lecture Tutor, a browser extension developed by WEBIS Studio, collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you install and interact with the extension. This policy applies exclusively to the LearnFlow AI extension and its associated backend services. It does not apply to third-party platforms (such as YouTube or external websites) which maintain their own independent terms and privacy policies.

2. Information Processed by LearnFlow AI

LearnFlow AI operates strictly to deliver real-time educational tutoring. We process only the minimum necessary data to fulfill this single purpose:

To ensure complete peace of mind, LearnFlow AI explicitly does NOT collect or have access to:

• Personal identity details (legal names, home addresses, phone numbers, government IDs).
• General browsing history, search history, or website content from tabs where LearnFlow AI is not active.

• Authentication credentials, passwords, or personal login session cookies.
• Microphone audio, webcam video, keystrokes, or peripheral device inputs.

3. AI Backend Processing & Content Generation

To deliver intelligent, contextual tutoring, lecture transcript segments and relevant lecture metadata are transmitted over secure, encrypted HTTPS channels to the dedicated WEBIS Studio AI backend service.

Our backend communicates with enterprise-grade artificial intelligence models (including Google Gemini API) to perform automated natural language understanding. This AI processing generates:

• Dynamic, context-aware multiple choice and open-ended quiz questions based on the active lecture topic.
• Instant answer evaluations, rationales, and step-by-step conceptual explanations.
• Key takeaway summaries and timestamped study notes.

AI Model Training Safeguard: Neither WEBIS Studio nor our AI backend uses your private lecture inputs, quiz answers, or queries to train, retrain, or improve generalized public foundation models. All AI inference is conducted strictly on a per-request, transactional basis.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

Zero Sale of Data: WEBIS Studio does not sell, rent, trade, or monetize any user data, lecture queries, or learning metrics to third parties under any circumstances.

No Third-Party Advertising: We do not integrate advertising SDKs, ad networks, behavioral trackers, or data-broker pixels into LearnFlow AI.

Strict Service Provider Limitation: We only transmit data to cloud infrastructure providers (such as secure cloud hosting and AI inference endpoints) solely to the extent necessary to operate the lecture tutor backend. These service providers are bound by strict contractual data protection obligations and confidentiality requirements.

5. Data Retention & Storage

Local Browser Storage: Your learning progress, completed quizzes, bookmark notes, and extension settings are stored locally on your device via Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data stays on your machine and is never synced to external third-party ad databases.

Server-Side Ephemeral Caching: When lecture content is transmitted to our backend, generated quiz responses may be cached in volatile, transient memory only for the duration needed to fulfill the active study session and prevent redundant AI calls. We do not retain persistent, identifiable student profiles on our servers.

6. Data Security Practices

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect all information processed by LearnFlow AI:

• Encryption in Transit: All communication between the Chrome extension and our backend occurs exclusively over HTTPS with modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+).
• Manifest V3 Compliance: Built strictly in accordance with Google Chrome's latest Manifest V3 specifications, adhering to rigorous Content Security Policies (CSP) and preventing arbitrary external code execution.
• Least-Privilege Permissions: The extension requests only the minimum set of permissions necessary to perform its interactive lecture tutoring functions (such as activeTab and storage).

7. Your Rights & Data Controls

You maintain total control over your learning data:

• Delete Local Data: You can clear your stored quiz history, notes, and preferences at any time through the extension's settings or by clearing your browser cache/storage.
• Uninstall at Any Time: Removing the extension from Chrome via chrome://extensions instantly deletes all locally stored extension data and terminates all interactions.

8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Compliance

LearnFlow AI adheres strictly to the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data FAQ and Limited Use Policy:

• The use of data received by LearnFlow AI is strictly restricted to providing and improving user-facing lecture tutor features prominently shown in the extension's user interface.
• Data is not transferred to any third party except as strictly necessary to provide or improve the single-purpose educational features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger/acquisition.
